See the Face
Trees at the Edge

A pale light of dawn strikes the branches of an oak, ash and birch tree leaving long shadows to creep over the crescent shaped edges of an ancient earthwork.

By changing your focus to the space beyond the branches of the right hand tree you can see the cold face of winter peering out at you. Look first for the eye marked by the cut branch of the left hand tree.

Ravens and Doves print
Passage Tomb Print

A painting of spiritual contrasts with five white, flying doves and five black, perched ravens outlined against a setting sun edged with deep orangy red, suggestive of the conflict between body and spirit.

During a visit to the Neolithic tombs of Co. Meath Ireland we peered into this illuminated passage tomb with its contrasts of light and dark, carefully hewn rectangles of stone and carved spiral patterns, giving us an intense feeling of visiting humanity's ancestoral mind.

The Coral Sea Print
Leathern Bag Print

Finding the piece of fossilized coral in Co. Sligo, I referenced the life cycle of these ancient Pipe Corals and placed them surrounding the found rock. Imaginary amphibians hide amongst the corals and weeds.

Washed up at the salmon weir the leathern bag holds a mystery - read the story of Taliesin from the Mabinogion. The sun sets and a heron makes his way home crossing the flame bright waters.

Salmon Surfing Print

Salmon Surfing

One of the primary creatures of Celtic myth, the salmon makes her way home to spawn in the river of her birth.

Blasted Oak Print
Mora the White Hind Print

A green lane through the hills of Shropshire. The oak, decaying now must have been a fine specimen in it's prime. Sometimes the hairs on your neck rise as you pass through these remote places.

White animals are often thought to be creatures from the otherworld often having red ears and eyes. This calm and beautiful animal sometimes visits me in dreams and visions.
